As much as I enjoy the compliments...those Gorgeous Silkie Chicks belong to Waititout. Yes, that top pic appears to be a splash.
BTW...My dream is to hatch a Splash Orp... Someday!

what is the difference between splash and mottled orpington? Pics on the web look every similar.

Just curious since I saw mottled for sale.

Woke up this morning...

Finally I have a star in one egg. There is hope!

Just had my first one pip this morning too. Feels like a ton of bricks was taken off my shoulders. I started playing Youtube videos of chicks chirping to hopefully get the others started...lol.

Here are the first few babies hatched overnight. There may be more to come but no more were pipping when I left home this morning. Day 21 today!




There are 2 Lemon Pekins and 4 mixed Polish hatched so far,

My pipped egg hasn't done anything else since I woke up this morning. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Neither has mine. I remember from my last hatch they would pip and then about 10-12 hours later they would start zipping. If this is the case then I am in for a longgggg night. I have to work all weekend too....errrr.

On day 4 of my hatch. Eggs have been hatching since Tuesday afternoon. Up to 26 chicks out of 44 eggs with 2 more pipping. Maybe they will finish up today. I have 21 serema eggs due to start hatching Saturday or Sunday.
