Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14]

I thought I was thru hatching RIRs but I heard chirping in the bator. I checked all my sermera and it was not one of them. I have not took out the rest of the RIR eggs that didnot hatch and their was another pipping and could feel one tapping the shell. I have never seen a hatch that lasted 5 days.

Don't understand what you are asking. The yolk should be absorbed before it hatches.

Sorry i was on my phone typing. One of my chicks hatched with the yolk not fully absorbed and it jumped around and now it's popped it! What should i do? Do i need to take it out? I am afraid to do that since i have several other eggs pipped. she was very active and super strong and was in a hurry to hatch it was so weird went from zip to hatch in 20 min!

My babies are all done hatching. I got 3 SLW and 1 Brahma....75% hatch rate on the local eggs though so I'm happy.

If this next batch of English Orps fails, I'm going to get 12 BBS Wyandottes to hatch.

I would leave it for now. Don't shine any lights and try to keep it as dark as you can. It will rest and hopefully it will absorb it. Good luck.

Thank you so much!! AND another chick just hatched in record time just 10 minutes ago! No pip at 11am and I checked less than 2 hours later at 12:55 and there was a brand new chick just laying there!! Amazing - Just Amazing! I can't recommend enough>> Don't toss your eggs unless you are an **expert** and are absolutely certain they have no chance!!

I am sick to my stomach
Decided to go try and feather sex mine as they are 1 day old. Picked one up it wiggled started to drop it out of my hand i tryed to grab it reflex by my knee and about mushed him on my leg then it did fall to the floor neck bent an odd angle WAsnt dead and put it back . it walked sideways like it was dizzy but was standing when i left.POOR thing.... stupid ME!!!
Guess it will either make it or not .It was a really active one too I feel like the pits...THE PITS....

Just went in...Cant tell who it is but one looks a little tiny rocky on his steps but seems normal so far.Hope so much i didnt kill him and hes not bleeding internally or has a brain concusion Dont know how all that wouldnt kill him.

Its been an hour or 2 now and i cant tell who I smash and dropped... AMAZING.Fragile little things..I was sure he was a goner....I am so relieved.
