Who's setting with me Sept 1st-4th?

I set them in the incubator on the 1st, so I lockdown on the 19th?

Last time I did this every single egg hatched a day early. My temp is set at 99-99.5. Humidity 30-40% day 1-18 and 60% until they pip, which it shoots up to 70%.

Yes, I had planned to set them on the 4th, but I wanted them to settle for a full 2 days in order to give the air sacs a chance to reattach, not that it seemed to help my hatch rate at all. So I ended up waiting until the 6th to set them. I believe the replacement eggs are coming this week. I really hope they arrive in better shape than the last ones.

I read up on detached air sacs. I've heard that chicks can fully grow inside the egg.

I do wish you the best. I have not come across this yet. My husband said this morning I should take up on the offer and try again with the seller who sold me 9 bad eggs.:/. I just don't know what to do. 4 were infertile and 5 blood rings in 3 days of setting.

How much was the shipping? She told me $12, and since I believe most of the damage was due to shipping (not all) I'm hoping they will work out this time. And 5 of them have blood rings, maybe it has to due with shipping. And yes, I read countless articles on it. That even with ruptured air sac, once you get the embryo to a certain point, it's membrane can help act like the air sac. I followed all the advice, but they just didn't develope. I read that sometimes they won't develope simply because they were thrown around too much during shipping. How many do you have left? I was so happy to see mine 2 kicking around last night.

It's $14 for shipping. The carton my eggs came in was filthy! Full of grime, bugs and cobwebs. Blood rings are due to bacteria.

I know that they are due to bacteria, I was just thinking maybe blood rings have a higher tendency to form with shipped eggs. Mine were sent in what I believe to be fairly clean conditions, but I still had 5 blood rings in 12 eggs. Thats not normal. Maybe the shaking somehow impacts the bacteria into the eggs, or maybe just because the eggs are under more stress. I don't know, I could be completely wrong. I was just thinking to myself. If I were you, I would probably take the offer, but specifiy that the eggs should be placed in clean cartons and ect...

Who's ready for lockdown? It won't be long, just a few more days for these first few eggs!
I totally am! My only worry is getting the humidity just right.

I'm so so excited!

My last hatch ALL hatched a day early. That's with my temp a steady 99.5.

I set in incubator early on the 1st. Should I lockdown tomorrow or the next day? I have an egg turner, so I don't want the eggs to hatch early on the turner.

WWYD?

I hope they are still alive, I'm too scared to candle with my bad luck!
