Who's Starting the 3-Day-Wait Today?

My count down to turkeys starts tomorrow... go poults!

I'll hover over this group like a maniac, my first turkey babies ever. Candled after my chicks hatched on Monday and all was perfect. Not a bad first run for my Ugly Bator.

We're on Day 19 today. If we didn't ness things up too badly, Saturday is hatch day!

Gah. I have eggs due on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. And I am about to go crazy waiting for them. lol The last few days are always the hardest to wait. And I am terrible about wanting to help every chick that doesn't come out within like 6 hours. I'm so bad. But hey I've saved a few... and killed a few. Hopefully this time I will have more patience.

I am on day 19 also. I find myself checking the bator all the time!!! Thank goodness I work or I would really wear myself out looking in the window! LOL. I did get three babies from the feed store yesterday to give me something else to fret about.

DAy 20 for me. I have 1 egg that has managed to roll itself from one side of the bator to the other. I take it there is at least 1 live one out of the 14 I have in there. They are all brown eggs so I couldn't really tell if they where fertile.

That is true So I pulled out my DVD collection of star trek voyager and will probly get thru a season or two.

I put together the new brooder in the wellhouse when this last hatch was due, it was about the only thing that kept me from staring at the bator... hatch, hatch, hatch.

Lol they ended up needing help out anyway, pullet eggs are rough.

Still now I have a new brooder for the first group that big enough to contain this group eventually as well. And the feather pirates (Delawares) are enjoying the wing room.

Two more egg cartons sitting outside the UglyBator waiting to go in.
