Who's Starting the 3-Day-Wait Today?

It's day 19 and I woke up to very noisy chick!!!! It actually pipped last night. I have had an early bird before, but not quite this early. Thought maybe I counted days wrong, but so far there are no other pips so I guess this one just wanted out early. It's actually huge!!!!

Day 19 here as well! It's my first hatch but I will learn from everyone here and not open the bator! I have 12 eggs that have endured 2 heat spikes, a cool day, and another glitch or two, but were all alive in the shell 2 days ago at final candling. Let's hope something hatches.

Im on day 18 on my single RIR X egg and trying desprately to get my homemade bator to behave my self so I can put the egg in it to hatch. I have 40+ other eggs in 3 other hatch dates in my bator so I was gonna use the homemade for a hatcher but of course because I am worried about this poor little egg that has defied all odds its fluxing between 92-103

I've got several more pips now so hopefully my little early bird won't be lonely for much longer.

I'm on day 19 This morning I took 125 eggs from my incubating tray and put them in the hatching tray. This will be my first hatch in my new Dickeys incubator. I have Barred Rocks, Cuckoo Marans, Black, Blue and White Silkies, Buff Opingtons and Black Ostralorps. Had to put the Barred Rocks in my little styrofoam incubator. Would have been hard to seperate the Cuckoo's and the Barred Rocks. Have all of them sold so wish me luck!!!!

Well, I did the final turn and now I'm playing with the humidity. Anyone out there using a still air LG? My book said to take out the other vent plug. I've had various fluctuations with my temps/humidity as well and I did candle some of my eggs (took one out that was obviously never fertilized) but I couldn't tell well enough if there was a "live" chick in any of them or not so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

Tinners, what does one do with 125 new chicks? Wow, I can't imagine. Exciting!

I have eggs to move to my LG hatcher later this evening. I think I will stay up all night for the next three nights.

I put my precious BBS NN Bantams from Dipsy Doodle Doo in there last week and lost all 7 to 2 temperature spikes of 102.8. One almost made it all the way, it died while pipping. It was sickening and I am afraid it will happen again.

I cant be home all day right now, I cant take off of work to watch the incubator and it is not stable. I moved it to my bathroom in the hopes that the room temp is more stable...but I am just anxious.

I am going to buy another Genesis 1588 for hatching because of my situation, and I dont seem to be able to control myself enough to NOT do staggered hatches?? Hmmm.

Ah, I am on the last of my three days..or going on my last day...and I opened it up stupidly for like two seconds. NO!!! I hope I didn't do anything stupid. I actually opened it for the purpose of bringing down the humidity, it was a little high....oh no....now I may cry!
