Who's Starting the 3-Day-Wait Today?

Cool Beans! Best of luck to you. I am going to go and take out the cheesecloth now and probably spend some more time just staring at the eggs (I was tired just a bit ago...)!

I have 14 marans 5 blue ameracaunas 2 silkies and 6 platnium cuckoo marans due Thursday. Just went into hatcher. Good luck to all and hatching vibes sent your way. I also have 27 BLRWs and SLWs due to hatch on april fools day so I am going to be busy busy busy. Then on the 4th Bcs so I will be living on this forum to keep me busy.

It's day 20 and I have 8 out of 40 already hatched and fluffy. Lots of pipping and zipping going on!!!

Ooooh!! I am so jealous!! I'm starting day 20 now, and so far, nothing happening. I think some may have moved a little, but I'm hatching in an egg carton for the first time, so it is pretty hard to tell.

Now I'm just messing around on here, trying not to look!! I know very well that I might not even have a pip until tomorrow, but it is hard to hear of other people's eggs already hatching that are on the same day as me!!

This hatch has 7 shipped Black Copper Marans that I'm really hoping make it.

I saw at least half of my 25 eggs moving last night but still no pips this morning. I hope that isn't a bad sign. Anyway, I took out the cheesecloth and that only brought my humidity down to 80% so i cracked open a window a few times but each time I put the window back in place, it rose back to 80%! By this morning it was down to 75 and right now it's at 68, so I might try to keep it somewhere in there. Where do you all have your humidity at?

Chicksgalore, did your humidity go down?

I'm really worried about one egg. There was chirping and a pip, but the pip looks the same tiny size this morning and I don't hear chirping. It's killing me not investigating, but frankly I don't know what I'm doing and could only make things worse. It's so hard to sit on my hands.

I have mine at 80-85%. I know that is considerable higher than most people on here do, but I've had trouble with chicks getting stuck to shells and not being able to get out when I keep my humidity in the 60s or 70s. But everyone's situation is different, and it is best to figure out what works well in you own individual situation.

I moved my 15 cuckoo marans from the bator to the hatcher last night. Could have sworn I saw two tiny pips, but didn't want to open the hatcher to get a better look!

I'm at work today, scared to death that my humidity will go down during the day. It was at 68% when I left this morning.

I can't believe I've set myself up for 2 weeks of hatching! I'll have no hair left when this is over and then I'm going to do it all again!
