Who's watching Comanche Moon?

I think the second part is on tonight. I like that the actors are trying to play the parts the way the orginal actors did. I know one is Call and his partner, is ____ , the actor playing him has the hand movements that Duval? used in the original down pretty good.

I have to agree... sequels are never as good as the original. However.... I loved Dead Man's Walk. David Arquette as a young Gus, he did a bang up job. I just wish they had used Arquette and Miller in Comanche Moon. Jon Voight was to be the original Call,in L.D. but turned it down, and Duvall was originally suppose to play Call, at least it was the part he read for. My memory is getting old but I believe that was the way of it. I'm just so glad they have brought back some of the originals from DMW. Long Bill is the same and one of the other cowboys too. I'm not too impressed by the men playing them in this one. I agree the the Gus character has the hand movements down pritty good. But it's impossible to improve on perfection, when you've got Duvall's shadow hanging over you.
Duvall is my favorite actor. I just absolutely love him. Open Range was the bomb too. I wasn't too blowed over by Broken Trail.

so many movies take my enjoyment away and distract me when i hear a "whip po will" in full sun. this happens over and over in this movie and many others. looks like they would get informed.. guess ill have to do it.

I missed the first half hour last night, I came in when Call and Gus took off across the border from Lonesome Dove, can someone fill me in on anything important to the plot I missed?
