I had three hens and a rooster which usually gave me two eggs a day which I thought meant only two hens were laying but after reading some posts here I have learned that may not be the case. :) Anyway I was given five more 4yo hens about two weeks ago dues to a predator problem and two days ago found I have three eggs. I assume at least one of the new hens is laying now. My question is if there is anyway other than watching to see who might be in the nest to tell which of the new hens is laying? I want to keep my original hens so just need to find a way to check the new ones. thx
