Dad is definitely black copper marans. My hens are olive Eggers, welsummer, black copper marans ,ameraucana,and barred rock. This ones fluff is ma

inly black except for the light color around the hind end .

Agree with the others that it's too early to tell - especially since it's a black chick. Do you know the color of the egg it hatched out of? That would help narrow things down.

Btw, does that hen have a crest? Is she an olive egger? I just got a "partridge olive egger" (prob legbar/welsummer cross) from My Pet Chicken who is supposed to look like that when she grows up. Or at least I hope she does - yours is a beauty!

I believe the lady I got her from said she breeds her black copper marans ... with her Ameracauna. I might be wrong though . Also I cant remember the egg color that this chick came from isn't that horrible lol when I went to check the egg was actually gone I'll just wait and see.

If I had to guess I'd say olive egger.
Doesn't look like an ameraucana cross or not a cross with a true ameraucana.
What kind of comb does it have?
Legs look awful dark to be from welsummer, BCM or barred rock

Doesn't have much of a comb right now covered with fluff and mom won't let me get too close lol You're right though legs are dark. I'm anxious now to see what he or she will look like .
