Why ACV in water??--Okay for chicks??

Just wondering - how does using ACV work if you use an automatic waterer? The water volume in the basin of mine is probably a cup or so - it gets replenished each time the chickens drink it down. It seems like I'd only be able to add a tiny amount. Is that enough on a daily basis, or is there another way to give it to them?

Oh, I didn't even think about that. I have an auto. waterer that I plan to hook up now that the hose won't freeze. I guess I won't be able to use the ACV when I do that.

Maybe we could supplement it another way--like in oatmeal or something. Anyone have any suggestions on that?
