Why all of a sudden..

Can someone tell me why all of a sudden one of me hens want to sit one my Broody's eggs? If Peggy gets up Jen sits on her eggs and if Peggy is on her eggs Jen sits on Peggy...I found one egg crushed whether from extra weight or no viable just not sure. I candled the others and 2 look good one is iffy? Got nervous so I moved peggy(the broody) into a do crate for safety.we are at day 13. She got right to it sitting on the 3 eggs that are left. Is there anything else I can do ? Did I do the right thing? All the reading ... I thought I was prepared... Now very unsure
Any advise would be great

Thanks.... She's still sitting this morning!! Hope she's happier in the crate. I know she's safer and I'll be able to go to work today feeling she's safe!

So I came home tonight and she hasn't gotten up now since yesterday (nothing disturbed in the crate not pooped or eaten? Is she worried I'll try to move her again? How long before I get worried?
