Why are my 2month only chuckars dying one after another?

when young chukars start to get sick, I try to keep a little heat on them... seems to help get them over it quicker with less stress!

For necropsy you want to refrigerate, not freeze the body. You would want to contact your States Department of Animal & Agriculture. Here in FL it is only $30 for up to 3 birds for necropsy, if you go to a vet it is considerably more and they often go to the same place... Every State is different however. Doesn't cost to call and find out..... What symptoms are you noticing in these birds before they die?

In NC a necropsy is also $30 through the state veterinary lab. Contact your local extension agent to find out where to send them. And the other posters are correct, refrigerate the bird immediately, do not freeze, and the sooner you get the sample to the lab the better (pref w/in 24 hours) so call now and find out what you need to do so that you can be ready to go if you lose another one. I am having the same thing happen to my less than a week old babies. Saturday night I had around 17 babies and now I have 6 left. They seem to be dying at 12 houor intervals. I removed them from my brooder thinkong that there has been some contamination in there. They are currently under a heat lamp but are still dying. I am not familiar with the medications suggested here. I am in Canada and meds go by different names. Can you please tell me what they are composed of. I also have 12 3 week old who are doing fine. I really want to put them on a preventive routine. I would hate to have something start happening to them. I was forgetting. My babies are still on white paper towels and they does not seem to be any bloddy stools.
