why are my chickens dying

I have some stuff for poultry respiratory ailments. It smells like vicks to me it is supposed to be used in a vaporizer but lacking the vaporizer I have put very tiny amounts on feathers around necks of some raspy birds and gotten some reliefe. I[ll look for the stuff I have and update this post.

its callet VetRx in a yellow box with a couple orange square banners.

I think you can have gapeworm in the UK. The worms multiply in the trachea and they can suffocate. I have had it in two hens over the years. The first one was treated by the vet and the second on I knew right away. I used Safeguard (Fenbendazole). It works within 12-24 hours. They do not have discharge from eyes or nostrils as a symptom. They cough and gasp, sound raspy and mine were shaking their heads and making a crowing or honking sound. Maybe you can give that a try? Both times it had been rainy and they were eating lots of earthworms, slugs, etc.
