why are my egg yokes different colors?

Eggs are like any other food prodcution, you are what you eat. Egg color, taste and texture can all change based on what your hens are eating. That is why you do not want to feed your chickens anything strong tasting like garlic or onions. Unless you want garlic flavored eggs. Age can also be a factor, mostly in texture.

would love onion flavored eggs...but my chickens do not like onion!
