Why are my quail eating each others backsides? (graphic images) Need help please!

Even in the future, with larger area, you should still watch for birds hurting other birds. Partially because it's your investment, and you don't want to lose birds. Also you might have some particularly aggressive birds which you don't want to breed or you don't want to have them around causing basically everyone else to be stressed out.

And also, depending on your own nature to care for them, you would want to separate out wounded birds as soon as possible and take care of them.

But besides that, like everyone else has said, the area is a bit small and that should help alleviate some of the problem.

Thanks everyone!. Since making this topic in the beginning I have now built a flight pen (so to say) that is roughly 12ft x 18ft. I have 3 males to 15 females in the area. I still have a bully because I found one with the same injury again yesterday. I removed it so that it can heal. To answer the one question about feeding. I feed a non-medicated gamebird seed that is 28 percent protein.

In further note: Still no eggs and nothing is crowing as of yet.
