Meet Godiva (left) and Anna Mercury (right).

Is one a cross breed? Is Anna a roo?

Thanks!

PS-The Silkie is Snowflake and not in question. Yet.

Hi

Are you sure that they are Welsommers and not Partridge Wyandottes?

If they are Wyandottes then the darker one on the right is def a boy....sorry:hide

Nooooooo, I have 2 welsummers and one is golden and one is that dark reddish color. Is that what is the distinguishing factor?

Yes, the roos get the reddish color whereas the pullets/hens stay the brown

I guess we'll shorten his name from "Anna Mercury" to just "Mercury."

Thank you all for your wisdom.

Incidentally, what do the chicken factories do with all their unwanted male chickens? Or maybe I don't want to know.
