Why are the air cells off to the side?

I am incubating my own hens eggs, and quite a few have air cells off to the side, not centered. I store these eggs on the counter, in an egg flat with the pointy side down. Then they get put into the turner, pointy side down. At no time are they left on their side. Why are the air cells messed up? I just can't figure it out.
Any ideas?

Sometimes it just happens depending on how the inner membrane is shaped, would be my guess.
