Back in my vet assistant days... it went like this:
"Why is there a box of possums in the tub?"
"I had to move them to make room for the squirrels"
"The squirrels?"
"The squirrels that are in the bedroom........"
"There are squirrels in the bedroom? I thought there were kittens in the bedroom."
<smiling that 'silly you' smile> "No darling, the kittens are big enough that they are loose in the utility room now."
"Ahh. Um, should I ask what's in the carrier by the door?"
"Best not to." followed by a big hug.
I love having my girls inside with me. I bought a chicken diaper online a while ago and now we have our girls inside with us when ever i feel like it. They love to sit on the couch and get all cozy when its super cold outside. It all started 3 weeks after getting the babies...
Boyfriend opens shower door sees me standing with baby in my hands
Me: Hi hunny whats up?
BF: Is that Gloria?
Me: Yep she likes the warm water on her feathers.
BF: If you say so, I'll get some warm towels going for when you girls are ready to get out.
He knows he fell in love with an oddball and is loving every minute of it.
LOL these are too funny, I put my peeps in the tub the other day when I needed to clean out the brooder, my house mate asked, " where are the babies". She was very puzzled when I told her they were in the tub. Then she asked, "YOUR REALLY PUT THEM IN THE TUB?" my reply..of course where else would I have put them. DH never said a word as he helped me gather them back up. What was more amazing was when the feed store had them 2 weeks ago, DH was the one to tell me to get some. I think he is as hooked as I am.
