Hello everyone, I was wondering why my chickens aren't laying any eggs. Theirs plenty of light, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong!!!:fl :th:bow:he please someone help with useful tips.:yiipchick

About two years old, and I'm not sure what breed, but one's golden and one's black. They look like they want to lay eggs, but they don't. I got them from my aunt, and I think they've laid eggs before, I've had them for 5 days now. :idunno

Sometimes when they get a little older they dont lay much eggs. Are they molting, do you see feathers on the ground alot?

No, I hardly ever see any feathers, I'm pretty young and don't know much about hens so please help!!!!!

To: Chickengirlrocks....May be sudden change in surroundings...But feed them a laying mash and see...Need plenty of fresh water, too...Water and feed deprivation for 24-48 hrs can trigger laying pauses...Good luck stick with the chickens...They will be a source of fun and joy for a lifetime..Luck

I'm not sure how long it has been since they laid an egg they never have for me, but I'm not sure when they last laid some. Bill Matthews, where can you get a laying mash, and thank you both for the, support!!!

Agway or Tractor supply sells it. Maybe just taking a break cause of the stress of moving.
