Why Aren't My Chickens Laying? Here Are Your Answers!

My Hens and Roosters both have stopped laying since it turned cold, should I just eat them?

My main laying flock of 19 hens are up to 7 laying now. For ages, only 2-3 were laying, so slowly, they're coming back into production.

So I started feeding straight layer feed and a few days later got a small brown egg from one of the nhr's! When they come out of molt will they sometimes lay a small egg like that?

When they come out of molt, you never know if they'll start back laying small eggs at first or big ones. Seems it just varies from hen to hen.

My chickens have been laying so many eggs lately I had to give a dozen away. (left me with 6 for myself, but it was my MOM I gave them too.)
