Why aren't my hens laying?

Hi everyone. I just got 2 Ameraraucana hens from a friend but the won't lay. This is the 3 day that I've had them. Is there any reason why they won't lay eggs? One is only a y/o and the other is 2 y/o. So i know the aren't too old to lay. Do they need to get used to my rooster maybe?

stress will stop egg production and moving to a new place is stress. Fitting into a new pecking order is stress. Also, they may not be everyday layers. Give them some time...you should get some eggs.

Sometimes just moving them to a new place can cause the ladies to stop laying. Give them a little time to get used to their surroundings.
