Why aren't they fat?

I have around 20 chicks, and they are very spoiled ...

They get fed: Chick starter 24 - 7, they have either scrambled eggs or boiled eggs every day. Or they get oatmeal or bread or something like that. I know they're eating it, but they are kind of skinny ...? Do they need grit? Thanks
 
If they still feel "solid" i wouldn't worry. My australorps looked AWFUL and mangy because they grew faster than their feathers. But they are beautiful now.
 
As long as they're healthy that's what you want. You don't actually want to make them for it or it will be bad for their health and they won't lay as well. Just a thought.

While they're growing, they're not really going to put on weight so much as just grow larger. If that breast bone isn't too protruding, you're in good shape. Solid is what you want.
