Why bother when it will just get stolen?

Our stuff gets stolen as easy and no one ever saw anything. ticked off hubby big time! Three times our van got broken into, it was locked and they jimined it and got only the faceplace of our CD player. What a joke!

If the city can allow, I would love to have a pair of geese and I am scared of them big time too!

Who would have thought that Canadians would have that kind of problem.

Anything made of aluminum or copper gets stolen here. My ladders are chained to the back wall, otherwise they would be gone. I had a step ladder I was using to paint the eaves of the house. I heard the telephone ringing, and I went in to answer it. There was no one on the other end, but when I went outside, the ladder and a hammer were gone.

I take the wheel off of the wheel barrow so that it doesn't get stolen. But I have a lawn mower that never did work. It sits in the backyard all alone. When they took it, two days later they brought it back.

Here people steal the parts off of the air conditioning systems. People go to church and discover that during the week the cooling systems were looted. They sell them for scrap. The law now requires scrap dealers to record the identification of all selling scrap. It hasn't stopped the thievery. I suspect they just take all that stuff to California.

We have has so many things stolen, I just hate it! we are getting a shed soon but will it be broken into? we now have a huskyxshepard/lab puppy who is actually turning out to be a good guard dog. I swear if we weren't stuck in this house we would have moved a long time ago. If someone breaks into your house here the police could care less!

Nope, I have to show ID when taking in cans and bottles, for things like a busted washer, they gave me a form.

Here in WV you have to watch your vehicle. Not that someone will steal it...noooo that would be too easy. Here, criminals like to crawl under your vehicle and steal your catalytic converter. There have been a lot of stupid idiots here also that have been electrocuted for trying to steal copper from electrical lines. Someone even took a chain saw and cut down a power pole in Pearisburg, VA just to kill the power and steal the copper.

I have worked my tail off to get the things I have I will shot anyone that attempts to take it from me. I have a No trespassing sign up and am working on making a Trespassers will be shot sign. Have shotgun, will use it.

So if they could care less, that means they DO care? Cool!

Here in coastal SC they couldn't care less- I have called about loose, snarling, attacking dogs in my yard with me backed up to a wall - 3 weeks later Animal Control showed up, asking if I had a problem with roaming dogs.

when my brother died 12 years ago we out a large angel(only paid $26) on his grave. It made our family especially the kids feel better that he had an angel watching over him. some insensitive theif stole it. so now we only put cheap stuff out there(usually from the dollar store) people will take the stupidest things sometimes.

We have an 80-pound pit bull (dangerous tail-wagger) and a police car at our house, and never have had anything stolen. But I think we just live in a nice town. Sometimes it feels like the last place in the world where people care about each other...

Someone stole my chicks. Thats about it for me.

The houses here are lined up like:
______
- - - -
- - - -

I live in the back and have never really had a problem. The young neighbor girl who lives in front came over while I was working out in the garden on day and said someone had tried kicking in her front door.
My SO and I also watched someone drive around their carpart lower their tailgate and throw the lawnmower in there (in the back the carport is on a hill so it was perfect height to just roll it on in there)

It hapend so fast we couldnt do anything. We also didnt know if he had asked her to use it. We actaully watch the lady that owned the mower pass the guy on the street. When she got out of her car she was sort of looking around and scratching her head so I went over and asked if she was missing her mower and told her what happend. She let out the biggest laugh and we went inside as she called the police.
She ended up telling someone at work who actually knew someone trying to hock off a mower and it turned out to be hers, so thankfully she got it back!

We also had the person in front of us (who was a cop) had someone I guess try to break in about 1-2 AM. I saw lights shining in my bedroom like someone was coming down the drive. I looked out the window and there were about 8 police car there and a couple there were next door and a couple more that were looking around the house.

Im just glad no one has decided we have stuff worth taking
