Pretty simple question, why is there no option to bookmark an article like there is to bookmark posts?
I have a few articles that I would like to save to reference, but I don't want to add them to my already cluttered desktop bookmarks tab.
Am I missing something, or can a future update include this feature?

ETA: I don't mean "watching" an article. I mean actually bookmarking it under the bookmarks tab.

I don't think that's an option yet. You could do like I do a create an article that contains your favorite links, articles, threads, posts, etc.

The bookmarks feature is provided by an add-on, and the articles feature is provided by a different add-on written by a different developer. The bookmarks add-on doesn't support bookmarking articles.

So this is never going to happen?
I just noticed I could bookmark someone’s gallery, not sure I’d ever want to, but ok. Bookmarking articles would be most useful!

XenForo 2.1 will have native supports for bookmarks, so I'm thinking the developer of the articles add-on may add support for bookmarks in a future version, but that's just speculation, and we probably won't upgrade to XF 2.1 for at least a year, it isn't even out yet, and we need to wait until all the critical add-ons are ready.
