Hi,
I thought it was pretty standard to place newcomers in an adjacent pen for a period of time (days? 1-2 weeks?) so that everyone can check everyone out safely. No different than introducing a new cat to an existing cat in a house, or a new dog to the existing dog in the house. it doesn't have to be a big area for the newcomer, but it's unfair to throw her into a frightening and potentially dangerous situation. Good luck...
