Why did my Bobwhites quit Bobwhiting

So Saturday I got my new Quail pen put up in the back yard which looks amazing I might add. Anyway, it probably wasn't 20 minutes after I put the Bobwhites in the pen they started whistling "BOB WHITE"

I told my wife, now this is the South right here! Sitting in the backyard, enjoying a cold drink and listening to Bobwhite Quail whistling in the background.

I had placed a tree limb in the pen so they could perch on it (My buddy told me they like to perch on the limbs and Whistle)

So, I decided to add a few more tree limbs to provide cover and all. Well, ever since I added another tree limb, I haven't heard another whistle.

I took out the one tree limb yesterday evening but still nothing as of this morning.

What happened?

That's odd. No clue why they would do that.

If it was a dead tree branch, check it and see if there was any ants or other insects on it or something.

I didn't think of that, I sure will. It wasn't dead, but it was a pine tree branch, so it's possible.
