One of my RIR pullets (Ailsa) started laying, maybe about 2 1/2 months ago, lovely eggs
She laid 3 then stopped and the last egg was about 2 months ago... why?
We had a bad case of louse i which i lost one of the girls, but, Ailsa wasn't infested badly, was treated quickly and no more louse, that must have been about 3 weeks ago. She has also stopped squatting, unlike the others, (which are not in lay but i am hoping soon)
She is lovely looking, big, strong, can post pictures if anyone needs to see her (size, comb etc)
She is about 26 weeks old, and not laying somewhere else around the garden.
Hope someone has an answer!!!
