And... so, here's the REAL answer that my oldest daughter came up with back in September... She was 18 at the time.

Why did the chicken cross the road???
Answer: To distract us from government conspiracies.

She might be on to something.

My chickens once got out of their pen to explore the neighbor's yard, so I can literally tell everyone that my chickens once crossed the road!They just did it because they were naughty and curious pullets (and one cockerel).

My favorite chicken joke is: why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide!
