Why did this chick die?

Hatched itself on day 21…found it dead and with bloody strands/yolk hanging.

Sometimes they just aren't born right (internal issues/genetics/etc). Could have also hatched with it's yolk unabsorbed and another bird popped it or it stepped on its own yolk.

So sorry for your loss.

Looks like it didn't absorb everything...which is probably part of the reason it died.

There was blood and yolk left, looks like the yolk may have ruptured and gotten infected. There couldve been other complications too. I'm sorry for your loss, it was a beautiful little one.
