Today, when I opened m coops door, I got a mega surprise! Sitting there, was a small blue egg! I don't mean just a small egg, I mean one the size of a small cotton ball! The last time I opened the coop doors, was at 10:30 am, and now its 9:00 pm. I was just getting in to clean their coop, and it was right there by the door! Just lying there, like it had dropped, with a large circular crack in it. I don't know if maybe a robin had gotten trapped in there, and layed an egg, its happened before to sparrows, maybe it was a sparrow egg?
I doubt it could have been a chicken egg, because my girls have been laying for about a year now. They are Americanas, but the small egg had such a brilliant deep blue, different from the others. it also had no spots like a normal Robin egg, but it was kinda rough of the top. Any suggestions? Could my girls have layed this?

Thanks!

It may have been what is referred to as a 'fart' egg, and it was most likely laid by one of your Ameraucanas.
