The SMELL of chick pee in the incubator!!!! GAG!
Good thing they are cute!
Hmm? Chicks and chickens don't pee.
Quote:You mean chick poo? LOL
Morning poops are so bad
I have to learn to hold my nose. When the poops are all fresh and not under the shavings, whew.. it sure does stink!
Quote:They actually do, but it's the white stuff on top of the poo
ETA: I stand corrected:
"For psittacine and passerine birds, there are usually three parts to a dropping. The urine is the clear liquid portion of the dropping. The consumption of vegetable and fruit matter will cause increased urine due to the higher water content they contain. Unlike mammalian urine, it is usually colorless.
The next portion of a dropping consists of the urates or uric acid. This is the thicker part that is normally white or cream colored. It is the product of protein excretion from the kidneys. The last portion of the dropping is the feces. This is food waste material from the digestive tract. It can vary in color and consistency depending on the diet. Diets high in seed content usually result in black or dark green feces. Birds on formulated (pelleted) diets normally pass softer, brown feces."
That's nothing! Wait until you have an egg explode! Now THAT stinks!
LOL the egg shells after they hatch smell horrid too! Or at least mine did..
well since its all fluid with a tiny bit of green in it, I assumed pee...also because its a bad ammonia smell..I assumed pee..LOL whatever it is, it stinks! I can't wait to scrub the bator!
The first time I opened the bator after those shells and stuff sat in there, nice a toasting and warm I about gagged!!! I felt bad for those poor chicks having to smell it overnight!! BLECH!!!!
There is an old riddle that goes:
Question: Do you know what the white stuff is in chicken poop?
Answer: Chicken poop.
