btw, one of my b/o's - aka mrs. cuddlesworth is so friendly, when i open my arms and bend down, she runs over and right into my arms, she can't wait to be picked up! i can see her readying herself to be picked up, her whole stance changes and it's def not the squatting stance.
GREAT! thanks guys!!! LOL! wow, now what do i do??? i have 9 chicks, i can only keep 4.......however, i have fallen in love with 5 chicks!!! i am definately keeping 2 EE and my Silver Cuckoo Marans. the 4th chick to keep is between Nutmeg (another EE) or Winifred (BO). yesterday i told myself i was gonna keep Winnie (short for Winifred, and besides, she IS the color of Winnie the Pooh). but today, i told myself to keep Nutmeg simply because i figured Nutmeg wouldn't go broody. keep in mind that all 5 chicks that i love are wonderful birds and love to be held. however, if i must be honest.....i suppose Winifred is more of a lap chicken. when i sit outside in their run with them, Winnie is on my lap a lot, even though she could be using her outside time to dustbathe or hang with the girls, she's on my lap more than the other girls....well, Cricket, my Silver Marans is a lap bird too.....but NOW what do i do!!! i wish i could keep 5!!!! but my coop is only large enough for 3 or 4 girls. 5 would crowd them out WAY too much! besides, i'm also a illegal chicken owner!!
i wonder if Winnie would be quiter than Nutmeg? can u tell i'm having a difficult time making up my mind???!!!!
