Why do I keep finding cracked eggs?

Yeah it's in a separate container but I'm not sure how much they're actually eating because they keep knocking it over lol

Any way to secure it? I have mine in a heavy flower pot so it doesn't fall over.

You know what they have been kicking the bedding out of the nesting boxes.....

For easy free padding for nests, you can fold up empty feed bags to fit the nest, and push them in and top with bedding of your choice.

I've even started putting a few sheets of bubble wrap inside the feed bag, as some of my older birds have trouble with shell quality no matter if I make sure to supplement oyster in their breakfast.

Anything that secures to a wall or to wire fencing will do. I hook parrot feed cups on some welded wire fencing and never had issue with them being knocked over.

Have you gotten less eggs in previous days and it's possible you missed one? Otherwise a couple hens have been doing double duty, which is possible.

We check multiple times per day because we found a couple broken open a while ago. My kids go Easter egg hunting like 4 or 5 times per day haha. Last check yesterday was around 4 or 5pm I think. I didn't check early this morning when I let them out so maybe one laid last night or this morning before I let them out? They are new layers though, only a month or two we've been getting eggs. I've gotten 3 or 4 double yolks too.

If the shells are hard, I would think so.
