Why do I keep finding cracked eggs?

So their calcium is probably ok then since all had good shell quality?
Maybe. Just keep in mind shell quality can vary from egg to egg. A soft shell once in a long while is fine, but if you start seeing eggshell issues more frequently than you're possibly looking at a calcium deficiency, or some other health issue.

Yeah it's been maybe a week or now more like 2 weeks since I've gotten soft eggs. I got them at the end of February. That's like 6 months. I have brahmas and Orpingtons. 3 each.

Originally, I had 8. One died within 48 hrs due to vent issues I believe. One was a rooster I rehomed. Idk if they ate him. It's kinda sad to me since I raised them. My whole family would just cry sobbing of we had to cull one. So that's why we check so often. To stop any egg eaters since we saw a couple completely broken open a while ago. But they are new curious layers so I'm trying to understand lol
