Why do Old English Bantams have to be dubbed & how?

Yes, see I talked to God at a poultry show. He informed me about the ways of the world and why things are.

I meant everything about showing poultry.

Do not dub him until he's matured, atleast 7 mos. once he's grown it'll not come back. If you do it too early it'll grow back, not as big as normal but you will have to do it again.I use a razor blade and all purpose flour, and two people. Have someone hold him tight around the body, while holding his head cupped under his wattles. Pull up on the comb, and hold it very tight(you don't want him to pull it away from you, or shake his head at all), at the base from the back, just scalp him. He'll bleed and I'm sure it probably hurts, but when you have it removed pat flour(generously all over his head, he'll eat and drink and crow and walk around like nothing happened. The blood will stop, some faster than others but it will stop. And for the wattles, do the same thing, one side at a time. But do yourself a favor and practice on a lesser bird. It sounds grotesque but it really is pretty easy after doing your first one. Good Luck and happy dubbing.
