My Silkie roo is a little like that, just not as extreme. He’s a pampered baby whom I helicoptered over since he was a chick (he has moderate-ish scissor beak). Of course, he will headbutt me or pull at my pant leg when he wants me to feed him. He’s a like that with the rest of my family, but a bit rougher and more demanding. But here’s where he’s at his worst: he hates my younger brother with a passion, and almost always challenges him (wins most of the time). Blue’s my baby, and he’s a sucker for being held and getting ear scritches, so I would never think to get rid of him.
I’m not sure about other breeds, but how I got so close to him is the result of spoiling and bonding with him when he was a chick (I had originally hoped he would be a hen but you can’t really tell when they’re little). I would just always have your rooster around people when he’s a chick, maybe even feed goodies and continuously plop him in your lap.
