Why do they chase me?

    I'm sure this is a silly newbie question.[​IMG] When I go out to the coop after work and let the 11wk old chicks out for a little free ranging, they run out and into the underbrush and start pecking around. I might stay for a bit and give them a little treat or just watch and then when I turn to go and walk a few steps away, several will launch themselves into the air and fly in my direction, land then go about their business. It seemed quite aggressive to me at first but I have seen them fly like that to a couple of chicks they had been separated from while outside so now I'm thinking maybe its just a flocking behaviour. Anybody know for sure? Thanks

    If one chick runs the other ones get exited and do the same thing. As you can tell they do it with people too!! [​IMG]
