I'm sure this is a silly newbie question.
When I go out to the coop after work and let the 11wk old chicks out for a little free ranging, they run out and into the underbrush and start pecking around. I might stay for a bit and give them a little treat or just watch and then when I turn to go and walk a few steps away, several will launch themselves into the air and fly in my direction, land then go about their business. It seemed quite aggressive to me at first but I have seen them fly like that to a couple of chicks they had been separated from while outside so now I'm thinking maybe its just a flocking behaviour. Anybody know for sure? Thanks
