This frustrates me as well, but not because I like to post or snoop around on other's profiles. Sometimes, I'll see someone post on a thread I follow about something that they talked about on a different thread, pretty much cross posting with half of the information. In such a case, I might go to their profile for their recent activity / postings to get the rest of the information. It's a huge pain to try and find posts by people who block access to their profile because these posts aren't always in topics they started. It's not impossible, granted, but definitely a pain. I only wish we could have a 'Posts' link in the username popup like the 'Topics Started' link, so that this would be more readily accessible in these cases.

BUT, I respect that some people don't want others viewing their profile and that's their choice.

If you click their post count, it will do a search for their posts.

That's a feature independent of being able to access profiles.

For me, it's the problem with a few key people who go snooping through all my profile posts and followers and raising hell with anyone whom they think they can spread fake news about me with. Oh, the joys when you have faithful people behind you who don't believe them.
And some odd obsession with spending a concerning amount of time on my profile page without posting.

I've had issues at other forums with people who pretty much stalk me. I'm cool with having and being a follower/fan with people of similar mind sets. I love to talk with people, and typically don't mind getting personal. In the end of the day though, some people can't seem to see the line between being online buds and being invasive. In my experiences, it's normally just a couple of people that make me eventually go private, but it gets aggravating fast.

Anywho, that's my 2 pence.
