Why do your chickens like you?

I only really have one that is really close to me and that is my Black Australorp pullet. She is absolutely... what's the word?.... oh... CUDLY! I'll be sitting on the ground and for no apparent reason she'll just perch on my leg, fluff up, and sleep

The rest aren't as cudly as her, but they do come when I walk towards their run.

I have three that see me as the treat machine and one that just loves when I come into the run. She walks up and as soon as I bend over she tilts her head to the side for a nice neck rub and pet.........

I think they all love the food/treats I bring them, but there is one silkie that just really loves ME~~I think

My black silkie, Henrietta.

She lets me pick her up almost anytime & I perch her on my arm and she does not want to get off for any reason. She loves to ride around the yard where ever I go. She will also ride around on my back for fun. I just love her!

She is a sweetie.

They like the treats I carry with me. I have not been lucky enough to have a chicken who just wanted to be near me. My horse is the same way. I feel so used.
