Why does everyone hate Roo's

Hi! I'll admit, the crowing from the * 40-something in the 'grown rooster' pens, plus the breeding pens, plus the youngsters* boys starting at 3am could be a nuisance to some --- I've learned to tune it out.
It can be quite a cacophany.

I rehome them when I can but for the most part unless they are kid/people aggressive they stick around here for as long as they want too. I love the crowing and the colors

Some of us live in a place where zoning says hens only.

Suppily and demand, it only takes 1 roo for a harem of 6 girls.

Anything that wakes me up before dawn should expect it to not go well.

We live next to train tracks so it is nice to hear some crowing lol! Doesnt seem so annoying! I love it my next door neighbor has one that wondered up on the property and our next door neighbor has one he is named satan for being so mean, and they go in order on crowing! I love it.

My rooster he is pretty sweet only came after me once and with a swift kick he never did it again. He has gotten prettier too I need to get more pictures!

I dont hate Roosters. I chose not have any because I just want the eggs. I know that some people wont eggs that they think are fertile. Sometimes I regret my decision not to have any roosters when I see some of the really beautiful ones.

Very handsome Rooster there.

I like roosters also. I order a pullet only order because I did not want a bunch of them and few hens. I was hoping I would get a few and I did I so lucked out on that one. I can not wait till they start crowing. Our coop will be far enough from the house I can not hear them to easy in the morning except in winter when noise travels better.

We've had some great roos and they are beautiful. It's just that feed is expensive and if you have a secure area for the hens and you are not breeding then they don't really have a purpose.

We thought we had all hens, but one told me one day that he was a rooster. He likes to sit on my porch and crow at 6am. Today, my boyfriend brought him in the house, put him on an extra pillow, and he slept between us like a big fluffy football. We also decided at that point to name him "Chuck Norris" but it was so early in the morning I can't figure out why we decided to name him that.

I woke up at 9am and my boyfriend was coming back from his job's meeting. He said that Chuck Norris wouldn't stop staring at him and then he started "looking sad" (?) so he put him back outside. He seemed concerned to be away from the ladies.
