Why does my chick look like a frizzled vulture and why is one not growing as fast?

Down to three chicks after the hawk attack killed my largest one. Sage seems to be growing normally, feathers are flat and regular. But Buck has...curly feathers? Just a phase or is it something else?

Also, my smallest chick is not growing at the same rate. He’s not getting the awkward feathering (still downy) and he’s not as big. Is that normal? Is it a sex thing? If so, when can they be sexed for sure?

You lose the window to sex reasonably soon after hatch. You will need to wait until the male chicks begin developing red head gear to tell the boys from the girls. That will happen between four to six weeks.

The frizzle-feathered chick is likely a frizzle feathered strain. The tiny chick is likely a failure-to-thrive (FTT). It may need a special diet of high protein feedings with daily doses of Poultry Nutr-drench to mainline the nutrients it's not able to utilize due to under-developed organs.

Thank you for the input!
New pictures: (Sage’s wattle area seems to be getting redder and she/he’s definitely the dominant bird)

So if Namentuppen is a failure to thrive, what exactly does that mean for him/her if supplementation does not help?
Death due to organs over-growing the body? Simply stunted growth? Not reaching sexual maturity? Sudden death one day out of the blue? A combination?

Sometimes they just don't grow, and they pass away. If she seems lively and happy, and eating suppliments, she should be ok, though. :)

Namentuppen loves mealworms. I have to remove the others first because they’ll overpower her for it, but she eats like a champ and loves scratching/flinging the feed all over. I don’t mind keeping her as a pet if it’s just that she’ll never lay eggs.
Now if she’s a crowing roo that’s unfortunately a different story lol.
