Hey guys haven't been on for a few days because I've been busy. For the last 2 months we have had predators! It is pissing me OFF! We have had half of our chickens killed by predators. Including my most favorite rooster Bucky. We have seen coyotes, coons, and opossums. Dont know who the main killer has been but I dont care. I close the door every night but they find a way to get in. 1 morning i came out and the latch was broken off and the door was open' I've had enough. My brother got his first deer about a week ago so I told hi to stand by with his .22!

Where there is a pattern of successful predator attacks there is most certainly a pattern of opportunity for those predators.

Describe your setup. How heavy duty is your latch? Are the predators also digging under or climbing over or breaking through the walls? Or is it only through the doors?

If you lay a heavy coating of flour all around, you should be able to see tracks, which will help youfigure out what you are dealing with (realize though, that there could be more than one kind of predator).

I got rid of a couple of ferrel barn cats right after thanksgiving. I just threw out the turkey carcass and kept the .22 near a window that gave me the best vantage point. So put something out there to get them right where you want them.

I believe in Fla. legally you are limited to cage traps and snares snares work well for yotes cages work good for coons and posums
