WHY DONT MY BANTAM COCHIN LAY??

Put lights in your coop .... Helped my flock kick in gear .

But that is the very reason , we got rid of all the bantams .. NOT going to feed them for months on end and no eggs ... Simply not worth it .

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder , BUT with the price of laying pellets going high and high , and they lay such small eggs , prefer the larger varity that I can depend on getting nice huge large to x-large eggs on a regular basis.


Mine were 13 months old in the the summer months , when they should of been laying and were not . DH said ENOUGH they are duds .... LOL

I've got a 10 month old banty cochin who still hasn't laid a single egg. I think it's b/c she came to POL during the winter months. Now that the days are getting longer, we're hoping for a mini egg from her soon.
