Why ducks?

I, too, have a husband who was anti-duck until we got a pair of runner ducks. When it was time to process the excess ducks (the pair had hatched a clutch of eggs), we loaded them up the night before and by morning DH had taken out almost all of the ducks--"because". Our ducks are good layers and entertaining to watch. They don't scratch like chickens and eat lots of bugs. I say go for it and watch your husband (like mine) fall in love with them.

They help keep the pond scum off your pond..they also aerate the water for the fish..if there are any.
