One of our pygmy's was killed by my neighbor's escaped dogs. We honestly had never seen the dogs they kept them so well hid. Thought they were feral and shot the dogs. I have Great Pyrenees with my livestock and they drug this nanny under a fence and they Pyrs were digging to try to get to her. Anyway, her twin sister is my only pygmy left and is/was very traumatized by the situation. That was over 2 years ago and my neighbor's still refuse to speak to us and the goat still hates dogs.
Anyway, I agree dogs and goats don't mix. Sorry to hear Valentine got attacked. Punctures are nasty on any animal. She's lucky to have a caring owner who fixed her up nicely though!
