why has george quit crowing?

hey there everything is ok he is crowing now i saw him and heard him myself. thanks to all with the great help. also was that a joke about a manley hen because i was thinking the same thing

Usually it is a sign of illness when a rooster stops crowing.

I apparently should be more specific..... With 3 roosters and only three hens, the lowest rooster on the totem pole will not crow as much as the head guy because he is subservient to the leader and there are not enough hens for him to claim as his own to protect and provide for. I had 3 roosters with only 5 hens. My lowest in the pecking order didn't make a sound until the other two were sent to freezer camp. Just my personal experience.

Also, as with my rooster yours may have lost his tailfeathers due to the pecking order. It didn't take long for his beautiful, long tailfeathers to regrow.
