Why have my call died in the shell on day 27?

400

This is the incubator don't think it has a make its automatic 48 eggs incubator

I am not a hatcher but I have read that there are still air incubators and other kinds. Does this have a fan? Maybe you can get a little humidity meter and check to make sure that the incubator's readings are okay...

Yeah it has a fan and that's a good idea actually I'll try find one

Thanks you for your help , the temperature was 37.5 and staying there pretty well and humidity was 40 in day 1-23 and 60 in day 23 onwards I was told this was the correct humidity by a friend but not to sure
They look awefully wet, I would get another gage and recheck that humidity if you try again. Day 27 you should have made them a safe hole that would have help with some of that moisture..

Calls are VERY VERY Tricky, they have those little tiny beaks and can be SUCH a challenge..

Nice to see you attempted to take the Call challenge..

Thanks you and started lock down on day 23 and they were on an auto turner every 2 hours.
When you had them on the turner were they laying down????? VERY IMPORTANT, I have attempted several times and ducks need to be laid down, they do not do well in the Upright position as if you were going to for a Chicken egg.

Also did you Mist or Sponge them at all??

Thanks you and started lock down on day 23 and they were on an auto turner every 2 hours.

Take the off the turner Four days before hatching day keep misting or sponging them just don't turn them any more, helps get them ready. When taken them off the larger end should be slightly higher then the smaller end, this helps with upside downers.

My guess for all four of them to die like that, it's the turner, If they were on that turner in an upright position, you have solved your problem..

The first pic, did you accidently break his yolk or was his yolk already broken?

They had an automatic turner, so I dunno how that could have been the reason they all died. It's a tragedy, and I'm stumped myself. :/ The poor things...you're brave for trying again, for sure, and I do wish you the best of luck! I agree with Amiga, I use at least 2 different thermometers and hygrometers, even with my fully automated rcom incubator to make sure the levels are proper. It seems that they just plain didn't develop fast enough. Maybe because of a low temp? Heck, even the nutrition of the parents could be a factor.

I apologize, I know the more we try to analyze it the more painful the reminder. We just want to make sure that your next hatch is a total success. There's no feeling quite like seeing those tiny things come out of those shells!
