I hear ya, i said the last time i did it was not going to do again.
but i did and have better success
I last time i incubated, i put in 30 eggs, and got 1
90% died half way through
this time i spray down the the incubator with Hydrogen Peroxide, and let dry they set up the bator, put water in got to temp of 99.5 humidity between 43 and 52
and i put a little water in every day,
Candled at day 7, 15, 18, 20, out 20 chicken eggs i have 11 that are peeping right now, 4 were not fertilized and out 11 duck eggs i have 5 that are growing, 5 were not fertilized.
last time, i just wiped out the incubator, there was a couple times where the there was hardly any water, and a few days the temp went way up then way down, so i had issues with low humidity at times and temp fluctuation.
I'm going to get the new Hovor bator, the 1588 that has a set temp at 99.5 and you can also get a attachment to put on if your power goes out you use a battery back up.
maybe change something that you are doing.
the room you have it in. have the eggs been clean to well, or not well enough.
did you check the eggs that didnt make it and see at what age the embryo died.
I love when my girls go broody, i let them deal with all that and then they get to take care of the baby's to, all i need to do make sure they have chick starter and water
I hope you have better luck next time, that can be very frustrating
