There's a lot of speculation that when gas gets to 10.00 a gallon in the not so distant future. Houses in the suburbs as well as some of these 1 to 2 acre country houses will fall to the point where they will be dozed and the land returned to farming. They say high density housing is the way of the future. I sure hope they're wrong

Not exactly. Do you have any idea how much land the federal gvnmt owns? Nevada...70%? New Mexico close to 50%? How much land was recently gobbled up in "open space initiatives"?

The land in Nevada and NM is mostly for military use. Nevada is mostly wasteland and NM isn't a whole lot better. Nothing wrong with a little land around that isn't overdeveloped.

NC and Tenn had some great land for sale. I found one in NC on 5 acres for 10 grand. they had larger lots in the redwood forests???? Never been there. We looked into it cause i would love to have 5 acres. i also found nice land in Florida near wachula, ona, mayakka city. Nice stuff!

they have searches for land and you can put in what you want. Hardee, highlands and even parts of manatee county still have good deals~

This is already happening in Michigan.

I think I found were all the cheap land without neighbors is. I went and looked at land in west TN about an hour from Nashville,TN yesterday. Its very pretty country with rolling hills but there wasn't any power.

Does anyone make there own power??

Thats because most of us are forced to move out of state. I'm the last in my family still living in michigan

Rest of my family has already moved back to Texas, and honestly, if things don't turn around I'll be forced to do the same.
