Why is my Bantam Roosters always have one eye closed?

It's this bird housed with the other bird you posted a health question about? Are there any other symptoms you are seeing that something is amiss?

Yes, we did have a respiratory infection going around in the flock, like a month or two ago. We bleached the coop and signs said that everything was ok. They aren't getting any better. I'm a little worried.

Are the chicks from a feed store and hatchery sourced, or are they from a local person?

There are several respiratory illnesses in chickens that leave affected birds carriers for life, such as the mycoplasmas. It's possible your current flock infected them.

Use VetRx for the respritory issues. You can also feed them crushed hard boiled egg with dried or fresh oregano bits. For VetRx: rub it on combs and wattles and skin around face, under wings, give it orally (can be difficult), and use it in a vaporizor in coop for one-two hours. You can buy it on a website called Jeffers. The reviews said that it cleared respritory issues overnight. About the closed eye, it could be scratched.

We got them from bird swap, we kept them separate for a few days, and then we put them in with rest. We have two Bantam roosters if the same kind and they both have one eye closed. We call them Popeye, but then we started worrying after our whole flock was sick. So I went to the Web for answers and they said that it was a sign of mg, and that's what the other had.
